Early in April we welcome a new instructor and a new class to the Word's Worth family. After a writing teacher told her that her writing was strong, but her stories suffered from meandering plots, Jeanne Estridge started her own journey to understand plot and more importantly how the structure of a story can be revised to make it better and stronger. For over five years her path has taken her through many Word's Worth classes, enrollment in the intense Robert McKee's Story workshop, classes with USA Today bestselling author Mary Buckham, and finally to a Masters certificate from McDaniel College in Baltimore MD, learning from Jenny Crusie, the author of over twenty best selling novels. Jeanne's ready to bring her vast knowledge to others struggling with some of the same ideas that plagued her by leading writers through Structuring Your Novel, a class that delivers some of the best and most thought-provoking advice that Jeanne has received over the years. In three interactive and challenging sessions writer's will find new life with that old story.

Late in April Dayton author Katrina Kittle offers Craft Class: Character, part book study/part character study, this class will help you take your characters to new and exciting places while handpicking the most perfect and fitting details. If your story's been going places while your characters have been stuck, then this class is for you. Another new offering premieres the same week, Craft Class: Symbols. Join co-teachers Darren McGarvey and Katrina Kittle while they bring their expertise to this part English Lit class, part writing class. You'll take a look at some of the most famous authors and how they used symbols to transform their ordinary stories into memorable works of class literature, while learning how you can do some of the same. In the end, you might find you have a classic of your own. All classes are on sale through the end of March--register today and save $10 off.
