Turn Those Winter Woes into Words
Warm up to a Writing Class
or Workshop this Winter
Winter has always been a great time at Word's Worth Writing Center to meet and welcome new writers to
the fold. Last January over six new participants signed up for the My Life-My Words class
and began writing and sharing their stories.
While I'm not truly
a winter person, I always love that the cold months enliven peoples' desire to create and take on projects
laying dormant in a box or even in the mind.
While the calendar
is still taking shape, there are three offerings already on the Winter schedule to entice you to put on your coat,
grab your notebook, and warm up with hot coffee, chocolate and tea and inspiring conversations, prompts, and ideas at
Word's Worth Writing Center.
Local author and friend Katrina Kittle is bringing her expertise, advice, and wisdom
to us back to us in the popular, The Craft of Fiction class which takes a week-by-week look at the important
elements of fiction writing. Her approach, insight, and ability to motivate writers have been raved about by former students
of this class. With three novels to her credit, she's definitely the perfect person to see for writing advice.
Along with Katrina's class, we will offer free Quick Write sessions
on the first Tuesday of each month, and are bringing back favorites such as My Life-My Words, Eight
Steps to Freelance Writing, and Writer’s Get Up & Go. There will also be a Writer's
Workshop offered to give those with projects in the works an opportunity to gather direction in an open and supportive
environment.
For more information
on each of these events, check out our Winter Schedule page. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, we can design one-on-one consults
to assist with any writing need.
